-Do I need to be a professional photographer to participate?
Nope. You just need a camera of some kind! Photographers of all walks in their journey are welcome.
-Do I need to use a DSLR?
This project is truly for everyone. You can use a DSLR, but you can also use a camera phone, film camera or any other kind camera you own.
-Does the Photo need to be taken every single week to submit for a feature?
Yes. That is the point of the project! It will not only hopefully help keep you accountable, but it will give you fifty-two beautiful images at the end of the year to treasure. I am hoping that this serves as motivation.
-Do I really need take a photo every single week?
No. And if you happen to miss a week, that's okay! Life happens. Pick up where you left off. I would definitely try to do a photo a week, but if you can't, you're just fine! The images you have at the end are ultimately the "prize." You will also find however that you grow so much as a photographer too. The journey is pretty special.
-Do I need to be featured?
Of course not. This is also NOT a contest. You can absolutely keep your images to yourself. By sharing to the group or hash tagging on Insta, you are agreeing for them to be featured however. If you do want to keep your photographs private (or there is one in particular you want to share but really don't want featured) please just note when you upload so I know.
-Do I need to have children to participate?
Nope! You can photograph anything you want every week! This is YOUR project.
-Why are there no themes this time?
I decided that I wanted this project to be as authentic as possible. There are now so many amazing inspiration sites and projects that do support themes, so this is something fresh and different. You truly have the opportunity to photograph something without the confines of one little word.
What is the timeline like?
Each blog post with a hand full of featured images will go up on Mondays. Images from the previous week will be shared in those posts. I try to really feature different photographers to not only be fair, but to show a range of diversity. Your stories are just as important as your images, so share as much or as little background as you'd like when you upload your photos or hash tag them.
